Woopie Let's Go Green Wooden Montessori Puzzle with Cards, 55 Pieces

A game that keeps a child at the table longer than the box suggests. First they copy the pattern from a card, choosing blocks by shape and colour; then the card goes away and they lay out the same picture from memory. After that come their own houses, animals and patterns that are on no card at all.

Why we chose it

• 40 patterns on 20 cards and three difficulty levels: the game does not end after a week but grows with the child — from simple shapes to complex pictures.
• Two ways to play in one box: copy the sample, then copy it from memory. The second one trains visual memory and attention without any “let’s do some exercises”.
• The blocks are wooden with rounded edges, and the box has a carrying handle — the set travels to grandparents and the summer house with the child.

How to choose

The set is made for children from 3 years. A younger child will be happy with the simplest cards and free play with the blocks; a 4–5-year-old will prefer the harder level and the memory game. If you already have a shape sorter at home, this puzzle is the next step: here the shape has to be fitted into a picture, not just recognised.
